A solid 1,5 to this hot mess of a movie that has an incredibly good premise that is just as incredibly wasted on a poorly written script and equally poor direction (it's probably no surprise to hear that it's written and directed by the same guy).
This deserves to be remade by someone who actually knows how to make movies.
